Paris Goes Back to Jail

Ok, I don't know why, but I've been drawn to celebrity gossip lately.

This might be related to the fact that I'm the official magazine person at my work now. See, I'm responsible for the magazine section at work now so I stay pretty current with the gossip rags. Whether it be Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, or Paris Hilton.

Not being one for gossiping much on my blog, or at least I try not to, I couldn't help but jump on this one. See, you have this filthy rich brat, who is famous for being famous. What's more, I look at this chick and wonder about what could possibly be going on in her head.

When I heard about her originally going to jail, I thought it was a fair punishment, due to the fact that she had been caught driving with a suspended license TWICE. Its not as if she has a roommate. When I heard that she was released early from jail yesterday, I like the rest of the US, was appalled by the fact that this appeared to be a severe breakdown of the judicial system.

When I heard that it was due to a medical condition, I found this even more appalling. Ok, so how many inmates do you think are in jail (or prison for that matter) that have a medical condition? I don't know what the deal is with Paris Hilton, but if its psychological I bet its due to her being pampered her entire life and having everything handed to her on a silver platter. Whatever the case, there is no reason why she can't be treated for her 'condition' by the system. And furthermore, if it is psychological, doing a major PSYCH! on her by telling her "guess what, you can go home for the rest of your sentance. Just kidding!" is probably not helping matters.

Actually, in that regard, I kind of feel sorry for her. That probably wasn't her fault, but rather the fault of the idiot sherrif who decided to go ahead and send her home when she discovered she couldn't take life in a jail cell. It would have been a lot less cruel just to leave her in the jail cell and make her 'suck it up' rather then to tell her that she could go home and then turn around and send her back 24 hours later.

But the fact that she thought she could talk to the judge via conferance call? Ok, now she's showing her colors again. The fact that they picked her escorted her in the back of a police car in handcuffs is priceless. The look on her face is priceless too.

Why don't you actually LEARN SOMETHING from this!

Maybe some of the other celebs can learn something from this as well.

Maybe, but highly unlikely.
